Peppermint Shrimp

Lysmata wurdemanni

Valued for eating Aiptasia pest anemones. Semi-translucent with red peppermint-stripe patterning. Shy and nocturnal — often hides in rockwork during the day. Not all specimens eat Aiptasia equally well. Make sure you get the correct species, as several lookalikes exist.
