A wild-type Betta from southern Thailand and Malaysia known for its relatively peaceful temperament compared to B. splendens. Males display iridescent blue-green scales over a dark body with red crescent-tipped fins. Can sometimes be kept in pairs or small groups in well-planted tanks.
