Nassarius Snail
Nassarius vibex
Sand-dwelling scavenger that burrows into the substrate and erupts when it smells food. Excellent detritus eater and sand stirrer. Does not eat algae — complements algae-eating CUC members. Watching them emerge at feeding time is entertaining.
